What's new

Fresh from the workshop

New features, clearer pricing and a lot of polish. Here is what we have shipped to DashboardGPT, newest first.

For the complete AI-readable content index, see /llms.txt.

A workspace ready on day one, and a warmer welcome

This release has your company's workspace waiting the moment you sign up, welcomes new account owners with a getting-started email, extends the product tour to billing, help and your account, and gives every email from us a consistent look.

  1. Your workspace is ready the moment you sign up

New accounts no longer start on an empty screen. Sign up with your email, Google or Microsoft account and you land straight in a workspace named after your company, ready for your first question.

    • No company name? The workspace is named after you instead
    • On a guided team trial, everyone invited when we set it up joins the company workspace from day one, with a role that matches theirs
  2. A welcome email to get you started

New account owners now get a welcome email as soon as their address is confirmed, with a link straight into the workspace and the date the trial ends. It can also include a link to book a call with us if you would like a hand getting set up.

  3. A product tour that covers billing, help and your account

The product tour now shows owners and admins where Billing & Subscription lives, and shows everyone the Help Center and the account menu. Each person only sees the steps for the menus they can use.

  4. Emails that are clearly from us

Every email DashboardGPT sends now carries our logo and comes from the DashboardGPT Team, so invitations, password resets and billing notices are easy to recognise in a busy inbox.

Start a free Team trial on sign-up, and manage your seats yourself

This release starts every new account on a free Team trial, lets owners choose Explore or Team when it ends, lets Team customers add or remove users at any time, gives clear warning before a renewal or a missed payment affects anyone, and refreshes the DashboardGPT logo.

  1. Every new account starts on a free Team trial

Sign up and you are on the Team plan straight away, for 15 days, with no card and no sales call. Invite colleagues, upload your own files and test DashboardGPT on the questions your team really asks.

    • Up to 3 people, 5 uploaded files, 2 canvases and 500 AI runs a month during the trial
    • The Usage page shows how many people, files and canvases you have used against your allowance
    • A banner counts down the days left, and owners and admins get an email before the trial ends
    Read the guide
  2. Choose how to carry on when the trial ends

When a trial ends, owners and admins choose between paying for Team and carrying on free on Explore, right from the trial-ended screen. Your files, canvases and answers are kept whichever you pick.

    • More people than Explore allows? Tick who keeps a seat, and the others are paused, not removed
    • Team members who aren't owners or admins see a short note asking them to check with one
    • Guided team trials end with the same simple choice
  3. Add or remove Team users whenever you need

Owners and admins can now change the number of users on a Team plan from the Subscription page. Move the slider, see the new price, and confirm in the app, on monthly and annual billing alike.

    • New users are added straight away, and you pay only for the rest of the billing period
    • Fewer users take effect at your next renewal, and you can cancel the scheduled change at any time
    Read the guide
  4. Plenty of warning before a renewal or a missed payment

Everyone in the workspace sees a reminder before the billing date, 5 days ahead on monthly billing and 30 days ahead on annual. If a renewal payment doesn't go through, there is a short grace period to sort it out while the team keeps working.

    • Owners and admins get an email with a link to pay, and can update payment details straight from the workspace
    • Exports and sharing pause during the grace period, and everything else keeps working
    • If the grace period runs out, the workspace pauses until the invoice is paid, with nothing deleted
  5. A fresh look for DashboardGPT

Our new bubble logo now appears across the website, the workspace and sign-in, in both light and dark themes. In the workspace, the logo sits at the top of the sidebar, and the sidebar scrolls so the Help Center is always within reach.

Superset inside your workspace, guided team trials, the site in your language

This release brings Apache Superset dashboards into the workspace, publishes a canvas to Superset in one click, lets us set up a guided trial for your whole team, gives every playground visitor a clear free allowance with bonus AI runs on sign-up, and lets you read the site in French, Spanish or German.

  1. Your Superset dashboards, right inside the workspace

A new Superset page in the workspace sidebar shows your workspace's Apache Superset dashboard without leaving DashboardGPT. Switch to the Charts tab to browse every chart Superset holds for your workspace, or open any canvas you have published to see its dashboard.

    • No separate Superset logins for your team to manage
    • Everyone sees only their own workspace's dashboards and data
    • Your canvases and your Superset dashboards live side by side
    Read the guide
  2. Publish a canvas to Superset in one click

Choose Publish to Superset from the canvas export menu and DashboardGPT builds a Superset dashboard laid out just like your canvas. An "In Superset" chip shows which canvases are published, and you can unpublish at any time.

    • Share your analysis with everyone who already works in Superset
    • Edit a chart on the canvas and its Superset version keeps up
    Read the guide
  3. Clear messages when a chart can't load

If a chart can't be shown, for example because its file has been removed, DashboardGPT now tells you why in plain words and what to do next, wherever the chart appears.

  4. A guided trial for your whole team

Want to evaluate DashboardGPT together? We can now set up a trial workspace for your company, with you and your teammates invited from day one. Everyone gets their own invitation link by email or straight from us, so the team can start asking questions on real data right away.

    • Trials run for 15 days by default, and up to 90 days for bigger evaluations
    • A banner in the workspace shows how many days are left
    • When the trial ends, owners and admins choose a plan on the spot and carry on where they left off, with nothing lost
    • Need more time? Ask us and we can extend it
    Read the guide
  5. Know exactly how many free questions you have left

The playground now gives every visitor a set number of free questions, 20 in any 24 hours, counted across tabs and refreshes so the allowance is fair for everyone. A meter in the header counts down the moment you ask, and turns amber as you run low.

    • When the questions run out, the composer pauses and a sign-up prompt explains what an account adds
    • Sign up from the playground and your workspace starts with 50 bonus AI runs on top of your plan
    • Bonus runs are only used once your plan's monthly allowance is spent
  6. Read DashboardGPT in French, Spanish or German

A language picker beside the theme toggle translates the marketing site into French, Spanish or German in your browser. Switch back to English at any time, and with preference cookies allowed, your choice is remembered on your next visit.

    • Pick a language once and keep browsing in it
    • The playground stays in English, so your questions and answers read exactly as you typed them

Billing in one place, and Team pricing that scales with your team

This release gives owners and admins a dedicated Billing & Subscription area in the workspace, with the same plans as the pricing page, a per-user Team checkout, AI usage at a glance and every invoice in one list.

  1. A home for billing in your workspace

Owners and admins now have a Billing & Subscription section in the workspace sidebar, with an Overview, Subscription, Usage, AI Usage and Payment history page. Subscription and Usage have moved out of Settings, and old links take you to their new home.

  2. Pick your plan the way you would on the pricing page

The Subscription page compares Explore, Team and Enterprise exactly as the public pricing page does, with the same monthly and annual toggle and the same "What each plan includes" table, so what you read before signing up is what you see inside.

  3. Team pricing per user, from 1 to 50

Drag the slider or type a number to choose how many people need Team, and the price updates as you go: $40 per user per month, or $32 billed annually. Check out securely with Stripe and you pay for exactly that number of users on the billing cycle you picked.

    Read the guide
  4. See your AI usage at a glance

The AI Usage page shows the runs and tokens you have used against your plan, a day-by-day chart of runs, and the most recent questions your team asked, so there are no surprises at the end of the month.

    Read the guide
  5. Every invoice, one click away

Payment history lists all of your invoices with links to the receipt and a PDF copy, ready for your finance team.

Charts you can trust, answers you can read, pricing you can plan around

This release makes every chart match the numbers behind it, gives the playground real answers in plain words, and lays out exactly what each plan costs and includes.

  1. One question, one query, one chart

Charts built from your questions now run exactly the same query everywhere they appear. The chart on your canvas and the chart in Apache Superset can no longer disagree, because they are drawn from the same result, in the same order, with the same colours.

    • Editing a chart on the canvas updates its Superset twin in place
    • If Superset is ever unavailable, your canvas chart still works
    • Your canvas palette now carries through to Superset
    Read the guide
  2. A sharper, smoother chart engine

We rebuilt our chart engine. Bar, line, pie, scatter and heatmap charts now look and behave like their Superset counterparts, with a scrolling legend, tooltips that follow your cursor across an axis, side-by-side bars, clean pie labels and a colour scale on heatmaps.

  3. Playground answers that actually answer

Ask a question in the playground and you now get the written answer alongside the chart, instead of an empty reply bubble, and questions about your data come back right first time.

    • Dates read the way you think about them: Jan 24, Q1 24, 2024, Mar 4
    • Say "change this to a bar chart" and the selected chart changes in place, with no duplicate to clean up
  4. Book an Enterprise demo in a few clicks

The Enterprise plan on the pricing page now opens a booking calendar, so you can pick a time with us straight away. The Team trial button says what you get up front: 15 days, no card required.

  5. Annual billing and clear starting prices

Pricing is easier to compare. Switch between monthly and annual and the Team plan drops to $32 per user per month billed annually, 20% less than the $40 monthly price. Self-hosted plans now show starting prices too, so you can budget before you talk to anyone.

    • Self-hosted Team from $9,000 a year, for 20 users or more
    • Self-hosted Business from $24,000 a year
    • Air-Gapped deployments typically from $50,000 a year
    • Pay by card on Team, or by invoice and purchase order on annual contracts over $5,000, Enterprise and self-hosted
  6. See what each plan includes, side by side

A new "What each plan includes" table compares Explore, Team and Enterprise on price, users, monthly queries, charts, file uploads, data processed, canvases, AI and features. Explore supports up to 2 users, Team up to 50, and Enterprise has no cap.

  7. Straight answers on AI, security and data sources

We expanded the FAQs to cover how AI is handled (managed and rate-limited, or your own key), what happens when you outgrow the cloud and move on-premise, and where we stand on compliance. We don't hold SOC 2 yet and we say so plainly. Warehouse connections are marked as coming soon, because today DashboardGPT works with file uploads and demo datasets.

  8. Signed out? You'll know, and you'll land back where you were

If your session ends while you are working in the workspace, DashboardGPT now takes you to the sign-in screen with a clear message. Sign back in and you return to the exact page you were on, instead of staring at a screen full of errors.

  9. Your enquiry reaches us faster

When you send a message through the contact form, it now reaches the right person on our team straight away, so nothing slips through and we can reply sooner.

Run it on your own servers, bring any model, see who did what

This release opens DashboardGPT to teams that keep their data in-house: self-hosted plans, any OpenAI-compatible model, and an audit log that shows who did what in your workspace.

  1. DashboardGPT on your own servers

Three new pages cover everything you need to evaluate a self-hosted deployment: what you can run, what it needs, and what it costs. Conversational analytics can now live entirely inside your network, with the same canvas and the same AI analyst.

    • On-premise overview: Docker Compose, Helm and air-gapped options, the architecture, cloud versus self-hosted, governance controls, data sources and a step-by-step rollout
    • System requirements: sizing, software, network and ports, and AI models (your own key or a local GPU)
    • Self-hosted plans: what each plan includes, a side-by-side comparison and a checklist for getting an accurate quote
    Read the guide
  2. Book a demo without leaving the page

Every Book a demo button now opens our calendar right on the page, in a window that matches the site. Pick a slot and you're done, with no new tab and no back-and-forth emails.

  3. Use any OpenAI-compatible model

Use any hosted or self-hosted model that works like OpenAI, such as vLLM, Ollama, LM Studio, LiteLLM or your company's own gateway. Enter its address and model name, press Test connection, and you'll know straight away whether it works. Models running inside your own network work too.

    • Find it in Settings › AI, under Add provider › OpenAI compatible
    • Test connection checks the server and the model name before you save
    • Your questions go only to the model you chose
    Read the guide
  4. An audit log for your workspace

A new Audit log page sits just above Settings in the workspace. Owners and admins can see every member's activity and filter by event, member and date range. Members and viewers see just their own activity, so everyone gets visibility without seeing more than they should.

    • Open any entry for the full detail, with the person's name and email
    • Filter by event type, date range and, for owners and admins, member
    • Part of the guided tour and the in-app help
  5. Adding a second AI key just works

Saving a second key for the same provider used to fail with "A configuration with this name already exists". DashboardGPT now picks a free name for you (OpenAI, then OpenAI 2, and so on), warns you under the field if a name is taken, and keeps your key and model in the dialog if anything goes wrong, so you never have to paste them again.

See what's new for yourself.

The demo needs no account and no card, and it always runs the latest version.
