Key takeaways
- Every new account starts on a free 15-day Team trial. You don't need a card, and you don't need to talk to anyone first.
- The trial covers up to 3 people, 5 uploaded files, 2 canvases and 500 AI runs a month, which is enough to test real questions with a small group.
- When the trial ends, an owner or admin chooses: carry on free on Explore, or pay for Team. Your data is kept either way.
- Want a longer evaluation for a bigger team? Contact us about a guided team trial.
Why start on Team
Most free plans show you a tool working alone. The real question is whether your colleagues will use it: whether a sales lead and a finance manager can each ask their own questions and share what they find. That is what the Team plan is for, so that is where your account starts.
Sign up with your email, Google or Microsoft account and the trial begins straight away. There is no card to enter and no form to wait on. Your workspace is ready, named after your company, and you can invite colleagues from the first minute.

What the trial includes
The trial gives you the Team plan's features with allowances sized for a proper evaluation.
| Free Team trial | |
|---|---|
| Length | 15 days |
| People | Up to 3, including you |
| Uploaded files | Up to 5 at a time; delete one to make room for another |
| Canvases | Up to 2 |
| AI runs | 500 a month |
| Card required | No |
The Usage page in your workspace shows how many people, files and canvases you have used against these allowances, so you always know where you stand. A banner across the top of the workspace counts down the days left, and turns amber in the last few days.
Make the most of your trial
- Invite two colleagues on day one. Pick people who ask questions of the data every week, such as someone in sales, finance or operations.
- Upload the files you really use. A recent export from your CRM, billing system or a monthly spreadsheet tells you far more than sample data.
- Ask questions you already know the answers to. Compare the results with figures from last month's report, so accuracy is checked rather than assumed.
- Build one canvas you would actually share. Collect the answers that matter on a canvas and show it to the rest of the team.
- Decide before the last day. Agree what a good result looks like early on, so choosing a plan is quick.

When the trial ends
Owners and admins get an email a few days before the trial ends, and another when it has ended, so nobody is caught out.
On the last day the workspace pauses and owners and admins see a plan choice. Everyone else sees a short message asking them to check with an owner or admin. Nothing is deleted: your files, canvases and answers are all kept, and the team picks up where it left off as soon as a plan is chosen.
- Continue on Explore. Free, with nothing to pay. If your team has more people than Explore allows, you tick who keeps a seat. Anyone you don't pick is paused, not removed, and can be brought back if you upgrade later.
- Pay for Team. Choose how many people need a seat and whether to pay monthly or annually, then check out by card. Everyone carries on straight away.
Explore or Team: how to choose
| Explore | Team | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | $40 per user / month, or $32 billed annually |
| People | Up to 2 | 1 to 50, you choose the number |
| Canvases | Up to 5 | Unlimited |
| Best for | One or two people asking occasional questions | A team that shares answers and comes back every week |
A simple test: if more than two people used the trial and want to keep going, Team is the right fit. Per-user BI pricing shows what Team costs at common team sizes, and how to add or remove seats later.
