Key takeaways

  • The docs have search, topic pages and step-by-step guides for people who use the product.
  • Ask AI answers in plain words and links the guides it used, so you can check the answer.
  • You can use it on the website with no account. Inside your workspace, it is in the Help Center.
  • A Help link now sits in the top header, next to Schedule a demo.

Why help should be quick

Most people do not read manuals. They have one question, and they want the answer now. Maybe you want to know how to reset a password. Maybe you want to send a report by email.

Long help pages slow you down. So the DashboardGPT docs come with an Ask AI box. You ask in your own words, and it finds the right guide for you.

DashboardGPT is built on the same idea. You ask in plain language and get an answer. Chat with your data: the complete guide shows how that works with your own numbers.

What is in the docs

The docs cover what you see and click in the product. There are more than 70 guides, grouped by topic. Each topic has its own page, and each guide has links to the next and the last one.

  • Getting started. Set up your account, upload a file and ask your first question.
  • Everyday work. Build canvases, read answers, connect Google accounts and send reports by email.
  • Accounts and billing. Reset a password, change the number of users, and see what happens if a payment is late.
  • Superset and the Team trial. Use Apache Superset with DashboardGPT, and learn what your free trial includes.

On the docs home page, use the search box to find a guide by name. Or pick a topic card and browse.

How to use Ask AI

  1. Open the docs. Go to the docs home page, or any docs page. The Ask AI box is there.
  2. Ask your question. Type it the way you would say it to a coworker. Not sure what to ask? Pick one of the suggested questions.
  3. Read the answer. It is short and written in plain words. Under it, you see links to the guides it used.
  4. Ask a follow-up. If you need more detail, ask again. You do not have to start over.
  5. Tell us how it did. Tap thumbs up or thumbs down. It helps us improve the guides.

The panel also shows how many questions you have left today. If Ask AI cannot give a good answer, it shows the guides that match your question instead. You are never left with nothing.

Help inside your workspace

You do not need to leave your work to get help. Inside your workspace there are two new ways in.

  • The Help link. It sits in the top header, next to Schedule a demo. It opens the Help Center.
  • Ask AI in the Help Center. Find it in the header of the Help Center. It also shows up when a search finds nothing, and next to Contact support.

Answers link to the guide they came from. Click a link and the guide opens in the Help Center. If you still need a person, Contact support is right there.

Want to see it for yourself? Sign up for a free trial, see what each plan includes on the pricing page, or contact us and we will answer in person.

Frequently asked questions

No. Anyone can ask a question in the docs. Visitors get a daily number of questions, and the panel shows how many you have left.
