Setting up a new account

When you create an account, DashboardGPT opens “Set up your workspace” instead of an empty workspace. It takes about three minutes, and each step is done for real: the file you upload, the canvas you build and the question you ask all stay in your workspace.

1. 1Welcome: choose “Get started”.
2. 2Add your data: upload a CSV or Excel file and wait while DashboardGPT reads it and profiles every column.
3. 3Build a canvas: check the Canvas name and choose “Build my canvas”. DashboardGPT picks charts that suit your columns, and you can carry on while they arrive. (Where canvases are not built automatically, “Create the canvas” starts an empty one.)
4. 4Ask a question: type a question in plain language, or pick a suggestion. The answer lands on your new canvas.
5. 5Invite your team (optional): invite a teammate, or choose “Skip this step”. You can also do this later from Settings → Members.
6. 6All set: choose “Open my canvas” to keep exploring, or “Take the tour” for a one-minute walk through where everything is.
