Connect a Google account for Google Sheets

Owners and administrators connect an account once; everyone can then import its spreadsheets.

1Open Settings → Integrations and choose the Google Sheets tile, then “Connect Google account”.
2Sign in to Google and allow DashboardGPT to see the Google Drive files you open with it. That is the only permission asked for: it covers just the spreadsheets members later choose in Google’s file picker. Keep the box ticked, or the account cannot be used for importing.
3You return to the Google Sheets page with the account listed as Connected. Members can now choose spreadsheets from it when importing.

Tips

Connectors are included on the Team and Enterprise plans, and in the free trial with one Google account and one dataset from it. On Explore the tile is greyed out with a lock: choosing it shows what an upgrade brings and the way to the subscription.
Team keeps up to three connected accounts, refreshes daily at the fastest and reads sheets of up to 500k cells; Enterprise has no such limits. The Google Sheets page shows what applies to you.
DashboardGPT never changes a spreadsheet. The account’s grant is stored encrypted by the API; the browser only ever holds a short-lived token while Google’s file picker is open.
To stop, choose the bin icon next to the account. Datasets already imported from it are kept but can no longer be refreshed.
An account marked “Disconnected by Google” was revoked on Google’s side (for example from the account’s security settings); choose “Reconnect”.
